Polio cases in Pakistan surge as virus cripples another two kids in Balochistan

Polio cases in Pakistan have surged alarmingly in the ongoing year, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.

The Ministry of National Health confirmed two more polio cases in Balochistan, taking the number of polio cases in Pakistan to 11 in the ongoing year.

The fresh cases have been reported from Jhal Magsi and Qila Abdullah districts of Balochistan.

A three-year-old in Jhal Magsi and a one-and-a-half-year-old child in Qila Abdullah have been infected with polio, the minister said, adding that the symptoms of disability in the Jhal Magsi child appeared on July 5 and in the Qila Abdullah child on June 10.
