Wedding couple receives 4 kg of gold, Rs650m cash as 'Salaami' in Turkey

In a lavish marriage ceremony in Turkey, a wedding couple received jewellery of four kilograms of gold and a heavy amount equal to Pakistani Rs650 million as a 'Salaami' (gift).
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the most expensive wedding in Turkey has crossed all limits.
A report by Al-Arabiya quoted the Turkish newspaper Zaman as saying that famous Turkish businessmen Adam Durmaz and Suzdar Yegizar set a new tradition of lavish weddings by spending a lot on the ceremony.
According to the report, Adam Durmaz and Suzdar Yegizar belong to the rich Ertushi tribe of Turkey.
In the wedding ceremony, 5,000 guests from Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Germany and Switzerland were invited.
The bride was presented with different styles of precious jewellery made of 4 kg of gold and the bridegroom was given 6 million Turkish currency lira (more than 6.5 million Pakistani rupees) as Salaami.
