Govt increase MPS salary and incentives ahead of IMF talks

The government has increased pay and incentives of MP scales ahead of the Pak-IMF talks, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

Following the approval of the caretaker prime minister, the Ministry of Finance issued the notification.

According to the notification, an increase of Rs249,580 in the basic salary and incentive for MPS-I, Rs115,100 for MPS-II and Rs66,255 for MPS-III has been made.

The notification will be applicable from 1st October 2023. The basic salary of MPS-I has been increased from Rs433,950 to Rs629,230 and the house rent allowance for MPS-I has been increased from

The basic salary of MPS-I has been increased from Rs433,950 to Rs629,230 and the house rent allowance for MPS-I has been increased from Rs 10,1000 to Rs146,450.

Utility allowance for MP-I has been increased from Rs19,650 to Rs.28,500.  The basic salary of MP 2 has been increased from 1 lakh 81 thousand 500 to 2 lakh 63 thousand 180 while  The basic salary of MP3 has been increased from 1 lakh 27 thousand to 1 lakh 84 thousand 230 rupees.
