Trade deficit in two months 40pc lesser than last year’s

The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics Saturday reported the trade deficit in the past two months of July and August to be $3.76 billion – 40.2 per cent lesser than last year's, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

The report stated that the exports in the month of August increased by 14.27% generating a $2.36billion revenue. Whereas, the imports costed $4.43billion.

The exports from July to August were $4.43billion, while the imports, in the same two months cost $8.19billion.
