The Karachi Board's hasty announcement of the results of matric exams has caused significant distress for students, as the results displayed on the Board's website keep fluctuating on Monday.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, students have reported drastic changes in their marks within minutes of checking the results online.
For example, a student initially seeing 715 marks was later shown zero marks upon re-checking, while another with 700 marks was marked as failed, and a student with 423 marks was declared passed.
The announcement of the 10th General Group results, originally scheduled for July, was delayed until the Department of Boards and Universities issued an ultimatum to release the results by August 30.
This order of the department led to a rushed release of the results under the supervision of the acting Controller of Examinations at the Matric Board.
The inconsistent results on the website have left students anxious and confused, with many expressing frustration over the constantly changing scores.
It is pertinent to mention here that the board has not taken any action to handle the situation, which has become a nightmare for the matric students about their online results.
