Pakistan and Azerbaijan have agreed to enhance their bilateral trade from $100 million to $2 billion, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Due to efforts made by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), both countries have signed 15 agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) for increasing cooperation in tourism, minerals, science and technology, law and justice and culture.

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev will seal these agreements and MoUs during his visit to Pakistan.

Apart from that, both Pakistan and Azerbaijan are interested in investing in petroleum and energy sectors.

It is hoped that these agreements will prove to be a milestone in Pakistan’s economic development and promote collaboration between the two countries.
