Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has banned the purchase of new vehicles following his austerity policy, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday. 

According to sources, the Speaker refused to give new vehicles to the chairmen of the standing committees.

Sources said the Speaker also ordered to withdrawal of vehicles from monetization officers of the National Assembly.

Officers taking monetization should use the vehicle by paying according to the rules, the Speaker National Assembly ordered.

The Speaker instructed the officers and MNAs should also drive old government vehicles carefully.

Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also refused to buy a new car for himself despite that Speaker National Assembly is using ten-year-old car, sources said.

Sources said that the Speaker of the National Assembly made his protocol very limited and the protocol of the Speaker consists of two vehicles.
