Dengue cases surge continues, 84 reported in last 24 hours in Punjab

The Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department of Punjab has released the latest data on the spread of dengue across the province, indicating a concerning rise in cases, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Sunday.
According to the department's spokesperson, a total of 84 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
Over the past week, a total of 377 dengue cases were recorded, while the increasing figure for the year stands at 1,044.
Rawalpindi has emerged as the hardest-hit area, with 74 of the newly reported cases coming from the city.
Other districts, including Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Attock, and Mianwali, each reported two cases. Lahore, Kasur, Chakwal, and Sahiwal reported one case each.
The spokesperson vowed all necessary preparations, including the availability of medicines and medical supplies, have been completed at government hospitals across the province.
“These facilities are well-stocked to manage dengue cases and other related health conditions.”
