CM Naqvi visits Children's Hospital, outraged over lack of medical facilities

Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Syed Mohsin Naqvi Wednesday outraged over the lack of medical and other facilities in the Children's Hospital Lahore and gave a final warning to the medical director to improve the facilities in the wards on a daily basis.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Punjab CM Naqvi visited the Children's Hospital and inspected different departments, wards and other facilities. Secretary of Health, Children's University Vice Chancellor Dr Masood Sadiq, MD Dr Tipu Sultan and other officials were also present on this occasion.
Mohsin Naqvi expressed his displeasure at the hospital administration as he personally observed poor sanitation arrangements, ACs were off in different wards, and patients in bad condition with complaints of lack of medicines, and essential items for operations buying from outside.
On a query from the CM, the mothers of two children under treatment complained that they were ordered to buy equipment from outside for the operation.
Over this, Mohsin Naqvi ordered the administration to refund the amount of purchased medicines, equipment and other items to the mothers of children under treatment in the hospital.
He also ordered to shift of the AC in the ward from the corridor of the Endocrinology Ward.
CM Naqvi inquired about the treatment of children. he inspected the OPD, reception counter, lab, social welfare office, washrooms, children's play area, Endocrinology Ward, Child Surgery Ward, Eye Ward, ECG room, Urology Ward, Neuro Ward, and fire-affected medical store.
The Chief Minister checked the records of the patients at the Social Welfare Office and the quality of food in the doctors' cafeteria. He also checked the registration process by taking the token from the machine at the reception counter.
Mohsin Naqvi also directed the hospital administration that attendants should be guided at every level for the treatment of their patients. He also directed the hospital director to change the soiled bedsheets immediately.
