An Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore Wednesday allowed the police to arrest and investigate former prime minister Imran Khan, who is currently serving his three-year term in Attock jail, in the Jinnah House attack case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
DIG Investigation Lahore filed the application in the court for the arrest of the PTI chairman in the case.
On May 9, a charged-up crowd protesting the arrest of the PTI chief vandalized and set on fire the Corp Commander House, also known as Jinnah House in Lahore.
The DIG investigation said in his petition that Khan was sentenced by a court under the Election Act and is currently serving a sentence in Attock Jail and is also an accused in the Jinnah House attack case.
The court was asked to allow the arrest of the accused in the Jinnah House attack case for investigation.
