Mohsin Naqvi forms committee to address married women's passport name issue

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has established a committee to address the issue of registering a married woman's father or husband's name on her passport, following concerns raised in a private channel program.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has commanded the committee to make a workable solution to the problem.

The Interior Minister emphasized that the committee should thoroughly review all aspects of the issue and propose the best possible solution.

Mohsin Naqvi highlighted that recommendations should prioritize the convenience and comfort of married women.

He said efforts were being expedited to find an immediate solution in accordance with the relevant rules and regulations.

The committee will be led by Federal Interior Secretary Khurram Ali Agha.
