The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in Peshawar has finalised its report concerning alleged malpractices in the MD CAT test, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The report, which digs into the specifics of the case where a male test-taker allegedly used a Bluetooth device during the exam, is slated for submission to the Chief Secretary on Monday.

This investigation was initiated after allegations surfaced about unfair means being employed during the test. The JIT, after a thorough examination, has not only identified the loopholes but also provided recommendations for the future conduct of the exam.

One of the significant findings in the JIT report pertains to the organising body of the test. In light of the investigation's outcomes, the JIT has recommended that the test be re-organised.

Moreover, instead of the ETA overseeing the test, it has been proposed that the Khyber Medical University (KMU) should supervise the re-conduct to ensure transparency and fairness.

Such recommendations highlight the urgency and importance of addressing the said irregularities to uphold the merit and integrity of medical education in the region.

While the details of the report remain confidential until presented to the Chief Secretary, its implications are sure to pave the way for a more credible and transparent testing system in the future.

The stakeholders await the Chief Secretary's response, which will determine the next steps in addressing the MD CAT test's alleged anomalies and the broader implications for medical aspirants in the region.
