Despite a surge in the international market, gold prices in Pakistan remained steady on Thursday, according to 24News HD TV Channel. The price of gold reached $1915 per ounce after an increase of $11 in the global market. However, the Pakistani jeweller market was not affected and maintained its previous prices.
According to data released by the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), 24 Karat pure gold traded at Rs2,32,600 per tola and Rs1,99,417 per 10 grams. The 22 Karat yellow metal, commonly used for jewellery making, was sold at a rate of Rs1,82,799 per 10 grams in the local market.
The Jewellers Association stated that the Pakistani market did not follow the trend of the international gold market. Meanwhile, the price of 24 Karat silver per tola and per 10 grams remained unchanged at Rs2,800 and Rs2,400.54 respectively.
This development highlights the resilience of the Pakistani gold market in the face of global fluctuations. It remains to be seen how prices will evolve in the coming days.
