Punjab CM inquires after injured policemen at RY Khan hospital

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inquired after the police personnel who were in a rocket attack by dacoits at Shaikh Zayed Hospital in Rahimyar Khan on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

During her visit, Maryam Nawaz also met the families of the martyr police personnel at District Police Officer’s office. In a meeting, presided over by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, a detailed briefing was given about the present situation in Kacha area. Maryam Nawaz was briefed about the law and order situation in Kacha area. Due to the arrival of the Chief Minister in the Rahim Yar Khan Emergency Ward of Sheikh Zaid Hospital, the poor patients have suffered a lot.

The gate of emergency ward of Sheikh Zayed Hospital were closed on the arrival of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz and patients were sent back and the people came from far flung areas will have to go back home. On the occasion, CM Maryam Nawaz said that “The policemen are like brothers and sons, I consider their pain as my own, their attackers will not be spared.

Later, Chief Minister also met with the families of martyrs at DPO office. Police Martyrs include Muhammad Imran, Rashid, Sajid, Ahmed, Zahid, Muneer, Nazr Abbas, Anas Sattar and Abdullah . 03 Hindu youths who also gave their lives for the cause of truth were Ajay Ram, Bairam Ram and Raja Kanwal.

The Chief Minister prayed for their forgiveness and higher ranks in Jannat. She offered sincere condolences and expressed her heartfelt sympathies with victim families.

Talking to them CM Maryam Nawaz said,”There was a mistake, which will be rectified, such an incident will not happen in future, every martyr is a hero of the nation.” She added,”The damage is expensive, the police will also ensure safety of vehicles, a permanent solution to the problem of dirt must be found, the construction of check posts should be completed as soon as possible.”

Earlier, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was briefed in detail about the tragedy in Katcha. Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Special Assistant Rashid Nasrullah, Home Secretary. Noor Alamin Mengal, IG Police Dr. Usman Anwar and Additional IGs attended the meeting. Police and administrative officials were also present.
