Karachi police recover youth who staged drama of his kidnapping and murder

Karachi Police have recovered a youth from Rawalpindi who staged a drama of his kidnapping and murder to annoy his family, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

SSP Investigation Abdul Raheem Sherazi told the media that Ghulam Rasul, son of Office Superintendent, District and Session Court Shaheed Benazirabad went missing on April 23, 2024. The report of his missing was filed at Sadar Police Station by his maternal uncle.

After a few days, the victim's family was first told about the abduction of Ghulam Rasul. The family received his pictures in chains and later his dead body images.

SSP Investigation told the media that this episode was created by Ghulam Rasul himself.

When the family demanded the dead body, Ghulam Rasul told his family to stage a protest against the Inspector General of Sindh Police.

SSP Investigation Sherazi said that police were facing pressure to solve the mystery and after extensive work, police managed to arrest the accused Ghulam Rasul from Rawalpindi, who after staging his abduction drama, had moved to Rawalpindi.

Police said the accused is being shifted to Karachi from Rawalpindi and further investigation was underway.
