CM Naqvi inaugurates ‘Controlled Access Corridor’ project at Lahore Ring Road

In a significant move to address the pressing traffic issues plaguing Lahore's bustling Ring Road, Punjab Chief Minister Sunday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone ‘Controlled Access Corridor’ facility from Niazi Interchange to Babu-Sabu Interchange, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
The project comes at an estimated cost of Rs 10.842 billion and is expected to bring significant relief to commuters grappling with the daily gridlock at Ring Road.
The 'Controlled Access Corridor' project garnered approval after meticulous evaluation, considering valuable insights from the chief economist, members of the Planning and Development (P&D) Board, provincial secretaries, and representatives of relevant provincial departments, as well as the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP).
This collaborative effort underscores the project's comprehensive planning and its potential impact on the region's transportation infrastructure.
Upon completion, the 'Controlled Access Corridor' is anticipated to streamline the movement of thousands of vehicles daily, marking a significant step forward in easing traffic congestion and enhancing connectivity in Lahore.
