Security agencies have foiled a bid to hack mobile phones of senior government officials, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.

A few elements are in the hunt for getting sensitive information from government officials and bureaucracy.

For this purpose, links for hacking the phones of key officials and bureaucrats are being sent on WhatsApp. 

All government officials are instructed to be vigilant and not to respond to any such message.

The officers have been instructed to immediately inform the Cabinet Division if they receive such a message.

The agencies are fully alert to thwart such a bid.
