Federal Information Minister Ataullah Tarar announces major reforms at PTV

Federal Minister of Information Ataullah Tarar Sunday initiated a series of comprehensive reforms at Pakistan Television (PTV), aimed at improving the network's content and professionalism, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
As part of the new strategy, 25 low-rated programs will be discontinued, with all changes taking effect immediately.
The reforms include the launch of new programs under a policy designed to promote professionalism and constructive criticism.
To enhance the quality of PTV News & Current Affairs, the network is bringing in professional anchors, producers, and experts.
Minister Tarar emphasized his commitment to eliminating the culture of recommendations, incompetence, and fake news from PTV. He noted that the new policy is intended to boost the ratings of talk shows by fostering professional attitudes and constructive criticism.
"Our goal is to make PTV's shows and programs profitable," said Ataullah Tarar, highlighting the network's successful coverage of the ICC T20 World Cup, which brought in historic profits for PTV.
