Gohar Ejaz Group wins Aptma elections for 16th consecutive year

The Dr Gohar Ejaz Group has once again swept the Aptma (All Pakistan Textile Mills Association) elections, securing victory for the 16th consecutive year, reported 24NewsHd TV channel Sunday.

All 24 members of the Aptma Committee were elected unopposed in the election, with 15 members from the North Zone, including Gohar Ejaz himself, and 10 members from the South Zone.

The Gohar Ejaz Group first defeated the Mian Mansha Group 16 years ago and has maintained its winning streak ever since. The Chairman and other office bearers will now be elected from among the newly elected members.

Expressing gratitude for the continued trust and success, Dr. Gohar Ejaz stated, "I am thankful to all friends for this success and trust."

He also reaffirmed his commitment to the development of textile sector, emphasizing the need for electricity tariffs to be on par with other countries in the region to alleviate the industry's struggles.

The unopposed members from the North Zone include Aamir Fayyaz, Dr. Gohar Ejaz, Khawaja Muhammad Younis, Adil Bashir, Kamran Arshad, Aamir Naseem Sheikh, Mian Muhammad Alamgir Jameel Khan, Naveed Gulzar, Shehzad Ahmed Sheikh, Danish Qaiser Manu, Sadiq Javed Bhatti, Habib Anwar Sheikh, Aamir Abdullah, and Muhammad Haris.

From the South Zone, the unopposed members are Muhammad Jameel Qasim, Khurram Inam, Rafiq Ibrahim, Shoaib Dewan, Muhammad Faizullah, Asad R. Premji, Khalid Majeed, Khurram Shafiq, Adeel Tata, and Mahfouz Ahmad Bajwa.

The results were announced by Aptma Secretary General Shahid Munir Sattar Butt.
