Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Sunday directed the Ministry of Information Technology and related institutions to expedite the transition of federal government offices to a paperless, e-office system, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Emphasizing the importance of this initiative, the Prime Minister made it clear that any delay in implementing the e-office system is unacceptable.
The Prime Minister instructed that all office files should be processed through the e-office platform within one month, stating that he would only review files via the e-office system starting next month.
He highlighted that the implementation of e-office is a top priority for the government to enhance transparency and efficiency.
Last week, on the Prime Minister’s instructions, e-office training for the staff of the Prime Minister’s Office was completed, and the Prime Minister himself has started receiving files electronically.
He also emphasized that officers in all government offices must ensure the use of the e-office system and called for a progress report on its implementation within the next two weeks.
"E-Office is a crucial step towards promoting digitization and improving governance in Pakistan," the Prime Minister said.
