Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab has permitted the Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) to issue driving licenses, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

According to a notification, issued by the IG Office, eight PHP centres across the province will be authorised to issue traffic licenses.

Licenses will be issued from the PHP Regional Office in Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, and other areas.

Regional offices of PHP will monitor the process of issuing driving licenses.

The notification issued by the IG office has been sent to the concerned departments.
