The federal government has ordered visa-free entry for travellers from Gulf Cooperation countries, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

The main objective of the decision was to promote tourism and attract foreign investment in Pakistan.

In this regard, instructions have been issued to the immigration officials of all the airports.

Citizens of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE have been provided visa-free entry facilities.

Citizens of these six countries can stay in Pakistan for 90 days on visa-free entry.

Entry for travellers from 120 countries under visa grant notice is instructed. A visa grant notice can be obtained along with the visa application and a copy of the passport.

Citizens of 120 countries could get visas on arrival through grant notice.
