An employee of a private organization has tried to get blood forcibly on gunpoint from the staff of a blood bank at Karachi’s Jinnah Hospital on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to hospital administration the armed man suddenly entered the blood bank and pulled a pistol on the staff for not receiving blood quickly.

The accused is said to be worker of a non-governmental organization (NGO) which is operating at the hospital.

However, the government and other private employees of the blood bank called the police and Rangers who got hold of him and started an investigation after disarming him.

However, the employees of the blood bank demanded the management to provide them more security. “If security is not provided, the blood bank will be closed,” the employees warned the hospital administration.

They also questioned that now the people who come to take blood will shed the blood of the employees?
