The number of pending cases in the Lahore High Court (LHC) has exceeded 175,000, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Perturbed over increasing backlog of cases, both lawyers and litigants have demanded judicial reforms.

Meanwhile, a full court meeting of the LHC judges, with chief justice in the chair, will be held next week to discuss the issue.

All judges of the high court will attend the meeting.
