Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar reiterated the vow to remove all obstacles in the way of higher education and improve it in line with international standards, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

He stated these remarks while addressing a meeting of vice-chancellors of public universities of Balochistan.

The participants of the meeting briefed the prime minister about the progress and problems in the way of higher education in Balochistan.

“Our youth and workforce are the most important asset for Pakistan’s better future,” the prime minister said on the occasion.

“Multiple opportunities will be provided to the youth to gain higher education in Pakistan so that they can play their role effectively in the development of the country,” he added.

He said that the lack of innovation in Pakistan was due to the lack of research and higher education.

He directed the participants of the meeting to strengthen higher education in the universities for modern research.

“It should be ensured that the students graduating from the universities have the professional skills and abilities required by the industry,” he added.

“The industries in the country should create incubation centres in the universities so that the students could learn modern research methods,” he stressed.

“Such measures will provide trained manpower to the local industry and pave the way for an industrial revolution,” he added.

“Consistent provision of quality higher education in the country will bring improvement to all spheres of life,” he concluded.
