The Sindh government has decided in principle to not accept Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab’s resignation till the holding of local government elections in the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has asked Wahab to continue his job as Karachi administrator and told him lucidly that he could not accept his resignation at this juncture.

PPP leader and Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister on Law Wahab on Monday stepped down from the post of Karachi administrator and handed in his resignation to Chief Minister Shah.

Citing the reasons behind his resignation, he told a presser that he was unable to continue his job as an administrator because of the difficulties some people were creating in his way. He said there were forces which were not letting them do their job.

Wahab, who is the son of late PPP leader Fouzia Wahab, took Karachi’s reins in Aug 2021. He was appointed to look after the administrative and municipal affairs of the city before the local government polls.
