A police constable embraced martyrdom while the troops killed five terrorists in different operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, ISPR said on Monday.

Police Constable Abrar Hussain from Swabi district fought gallantly and embraced martyrdom in a joint intelligence-based operation in Mohmand district, the military media wing said, adding that the troop killed three terrorists in the Mohmand swoop.

The security officials also destroyed the terrorist hideout and seized a cache of arms, ammunition and explosives.

In another intelligence-based operation in the Dera Ismail Khan district, security forces killed one terrorist and injured three others.  The dead was involved in numerous terrorist activities including the facilitation of the suicide bombing attack in Daraban on 12 December 2023. In a North Waziristan operation, troops killed one terrorist of Fitna Al Khawarij.

The security forces stand by the law enforcement agencies to ensure peace and stability across Pakistan and such sacrifices of brave men strengthen their resolve.
