Loyal companion of former PM Nawaz Sharif, Malik Saleem Iqbal, passes away

The political fraternity mourns the loss of Malik Saleem Iqbal, a dedicated companion and founding leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), reported 24NewsHD TV channel Thursday.

After a prolonged illness, the former provincial minister and a loyal supporter of former Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, breathed his last.

Late Malik Saleem Iqbal was not only known for his unwavering support to the PML-N but also held a distinguished position as the father-in-law of former PEMRA Chairman Malik Mushtaq Ahmed and the grandfather of former Member of Provincial Assembly, Sheharyar Awan.

Throughout his political journey, Malik Saleem Iqbal stood like a rock by the side of the PML-N in every era, becoming an influential and respected figure within the party.

The funeral prayer for this esteemed leader will be offered in Tala Gang, where friends, family, and fellow politicians will gather to pay their last respects to a man who played a significant role in shaping the PML-N and contributed greatly to the political landscape of Pakistan.
