Mariyam Nafees reveals ‘Haq Mehar’, becomes teary

Gorgeous Pakistani actress has appeared on the show ‘Gup Shup with FUCHSIA’ where she recalled her marriage time and became teary.

During the span of an interview, she began crying as she discussed her move from Islamabad to Karachi following her marriage and her difficulty to feel at home.

However, she expressed a longing for Islamabad, where her family and beloved dog live.

Mariyam Nafees also revealed that she had read her marriage certificate (Nikkahnama) and found her divorce rights there.

She further disclosed that she only retained her Haq Mehr "sharayi" (as per the religious set of rules) about 2200 rupees.

The actress went on to say that while she was aware that occasionally people would ask for more Haq Mehr, she didn't feel that way herself.

Talking about marrying Aman Ahmed, she said:

“I married Aman because his moral compass is right; our fundamental values are aligned."

It is important to mention here that Mariyam Nafees is an activist, producer, and artist. The actress is very vocal about her opinions on politics, social aspects, and whatnot.

On the work front, the lady can be seen in the drama ‘Jaan e Jahan’ as Zeenat where people are applauding her character.
