The chief minister gave this assurance during a meeting with Shujaat Hussain at his residence on Zahoor Elahi Road in Lahore on Wednesday. Punjab chief secretary, inspector general of police and Lahore CCPO were also present in the meeting.

Mohsin Naqvi also inquired after Saalik Hussain who was injured during the incident.

The CM received first-hand information from Saalik Hussak and Shafay Hussain about the attack. He offered apology over the regrettable incident at Shujaat Hussain’s residence.

The chief minister informed the PML-Q chief that they were in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah. “I returned to Lahore this morning,” he added.

He said “When I got the information about the incident, I immediately ordered an inquiry, which will pinpoint the culprits who will face indiscriminate action.”

Mohsin Naqvi said supporters of Pervaiz Elahi threw petrol bombs and stones at the police. “Nobody will be allowed to attack police or take law into his hands,” he maintained.
