Police disclosed the personal grudge between the two persons was the main reason which triggered the Jaranwala incident, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Police said that the accused Parvez Kodu had a grudge against Raja Umair and he had given some rupees and a bike to an accused named Allah Ditta to kill his opponent.
Despite efforts, the accused Allah Ditta failed to kill Umair. As a result, Pervez Kudo made a separate plan and did a desecration of the Holy Quran to trap Umair in a blasphemy case.
The police said a case had been registered against two persons and after the arrest of shooter Allah Ditta, the whole situation became clear.
The police have arrested the main accused Pervez Kodu along with his two accomplices.
