 Heavy rain: Schools to remain closed in Karachi and Hyderabad

Authorities have announced that private and government schools will remain closed tomorrow (Friday) to avert untoward incidents due to rain in Karachi and Hyderabad, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.

The Karachi commissioner announced holidays in private and government educational institutes and urged the citizens to avoid going out.   

The Hyderabad district administration already declared a public holiday and according to a notification issued by the district authorities, all the educational institutions will remain closed on Friday.

It has been raining intermittently for the past two days, grinding life to a standstill. Electricity supply has been suspended. The residents are urged to stay indoors to avert rain-related disasters.
