Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Omer Ayub has said the party founder reposed trust in Hammad Azhar.

Taking to X, he tweeted: “In a meeting with PM Imran Khan sahib in AdIala Jail today, attended by Shibli Faraz sahib and myself, he reiterated that he trusts Hammad Azhar and fully backs him.

“He has asked him to continue serving as General Secretary of Punjab/Acting President of Punjab.

“PM Imran Khan sahib further stressed that he had made it clear to the media earlier today that the leadership in hiding should continue to remain in hiding (that includes Hammad Azhar) because there is no guarantee that they won't be made Enforced Disappeared Persons.”
