Large oil and gas reserves discovered in Sanghar

Good news for the country's economy as large oil and gas reserves discovered in Sanghar district of Sindh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to spokesperson of Oil and Gas Development Company Ltd (OGDCL) the company succeeded to discover large oil and gas reserves in Sindh.
Spokesperson said OGDCL informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange by writing a letter in this regard.
According to details, from Baloch well, 2 to 388 barrels per day of crude oil discovered and 6.8 million cubic feet per day gas has also been discovered from Baloch well-2.
Drilling of Baloch well-2 started in February 2024 and after 3920 meters drilling of Baloch well-2, oil and gas reserves were discovered.
OGDCL plans to drill more wells in Samir Formation of Sanjhuru Block, OGDCL officials said.
Officials said this new discovery will open a new way of prosperity and development in the region.
The first successful discovery in the Sembar Formation is the result of the exploration efforts of OGDCL, officials said.
