On the day when former prime minister and ex-PTI chairman Imran Khan and former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi were handed down 10-year imprisonment in the US cipher case, an audio of Imran Khan and his ex-secretary Azam Khan has leaked in which the former could be heard directing the latter to only play with the US cipher, and stop short of mentioning the US’s name, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Azam, in his reply, suggests convening a meeting of foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and the foreign secretary on the subject. “You must be remembering that the word ‘demarche’ has been mentioned at the end,” he says, adding, “What Qureshi will do is read out the letter, and I will make its minutes. Then I will draft these minutes the way I wish.”

Imran then asks Azam who should be invited to the meeting?

Azam replies that only you, me, Qureshi sab and the foreign secretary. That’s all.”

Former prime minister replies, “Ok. We will do it tomorrow.”
