A security official embraced martyrdom while another sustained injuries Wednesday in an armed attack on a polio team in Spinwam, North Waziristan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The security forces started a search operation in the area after the attack.

“Terrorists opened fire on the security personnel escorting the polio team,” police said.

“The injured and the body of the martyred security official have been shifted to a nearby hospital,” they added.
