Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced the completion of all preparations for the deportation of Afghan nationals residing illegally in the province, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

With the looming deadline of October 31, directives have been issued to the Chief Secretary and Inspector General of Police to ensure the swift evacuation of illegal foreign residents from Punjab, he added.

Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that there will be no leniency granted to any foreigner staying unlawfully in Punjab.

The provincial government is unwavering in its approach, and stringent action will be taken against those found harboring illegal refugees, he said adding that no exemptions will be made.

The Chief Minister also called upon unregistered Afghans to voluntarily depart from Punjab, as all necessary steps have been taken to facilitate the repatriation of illegal Afghan citizens.

To ensure a smooth transition, camps have been established in various districts across the province for the temporary holding of these individuals.
