Hailstorms and heavy rains hit Karachi

Heavy rains hit the northern suburban areas of Karachi followed by strong winds and hail in some areas on Saturday, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

Bahria Town, M-9 motorway, Kathore, Surjani and North Karachi areas faced heavy downpours.

The Bahria town residents also experienced hail storms with the rain.

On the other hand, the met department Saturday stated that weather in the capital will remain dry and partly cloudy whereas, it will remain cold in the northern regions of the province including Murree, Galiyat, and other suburbs.

However, in the plain areas of the province including Mangla, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Lahore, Okara, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Mandi Bahauddin, Joharabad, Faisalabad, Jhang, Khanewal, Multan, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan, the weather will remain dry accompanied by smog.

The weather in various regions of the KP province will remain cloudy while it will remain cold in the upper regions.

In Balochistan, the weather will mostly remain dry but rain showers are expected in some areas including Nokundi, Chaghi, Kharan, Panjgur, Kech, Washuk, Nushki and Khuzdar.

The weather in Sindh is reported to remain dry while that in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will remain cold and cloudy.
