Four sentenced to death, one to 7-month imprisonment over blasphemy

A court sentenced to death four blasphemers and another to seven years imprisonment as it found them guilty, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.

Mohammad Rizwan, Faizan Razak, Amin Raees and Wazir Gul were sentenced to death and a Rs100,000 fine. They will have to serve six months in prison if they fail to pay the fine.

Usman Liaquat will serve seven years in prison. Additional Sessions Judge Ahsan Mahmood Malik gave the verdict.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cybercrime Circle registered the case against them on September 12, 2022.
