A Pakistani citizen has been executed in Saudi Arabia for the crime of murdering a Saudi national, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Interior, Pakistani citizen Ali Akbar had killed a local resident, Saud Bin Ali, with a sharp weapon.

The Saudi court reached its verdict of the death penalty after thorough investigations and the convict's confession.

The execution took place in Makkah, as confirmed by the Saudi Ministry of Interior.
