Tackling inflation now govt’s top priority, says minister

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has expressed the commitment on behalf of the government to stabilize the economy and address the issue of inflation.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, the information minister said the people are fully aware of the fact that the PML-N always delivers on the economic front. She said an economic revival plan has been rolled out which envisages the development of various sectors including agriculture, IT and Industries. She said this plan will bring both domestic and foreign investment, produce employment opportunities and also help address the issue of inflation.
Alluding to the recent statement of PTI leader Hamid Khan on the television, the Minister for Information and Broadcasting said that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was ousted from the power through a conspiracy. She said the judiciary will have to undo this wrong.
Marriyum Aurangzeb highlighted the successes achieved by the country on various fronts in the tenure of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. She recalled that while one person at that point in time was standing on the container, Nawaz Sharif was busy in serving and uplifting the country.
She regretted that the person who was imposed on this country through a conspiracy destroyed the economy and incited intolerance and hatred in the society.
The Information Minister said those who conspired against the country shall be given strict punishment.
Responding to a question, the Information Minister said the government does not believe in political victimization. She however, said that the PTI Chairman will have to respond to the allegations against him.
