Big fall in gold rates in Pakistan

The Pakistani jewellery market at the beginning of the week witnessed a big decrease in the rates of gold as the yellow metal prices in the international market were also reduced on Monday.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the prices of 24 karats pure gold were reduced by Rs1,000 per tola to Rs2,30,400 per tola in the Pakistani market on Monday.

The prices of 10 grams of 24 karats fine gold were also reduced by Rs857 to Rs1,97,531 per 10 grams.

Rates of the 10 grams of yellow metal of 22 karats which is used for making jewellery are also reduced and traded at Rs1,81,070 per 10-gram in the Pakistani market.

On Monday, the prices of gold in the international market were reduced by US$8 per ounce to US$1940 per ounce.

While the price of 24 karats pure silver was not changed and traded at the same rates of the last week at Rs2750 per tola and the price of 10 grams of silver was traded at Rs2357.68.
