Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi presided over a meeting on measures to control sugar prices, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.

The chief minister was briefed about the court stay order baring the provincial government from obtaining the records of sugar mills

He directed the Advocate General of Punjab to challenge the stay order, saying that an appeal should be filed immediately so that the commodity cost could be controlled.

The sugar mafia has been on a rampage since it obtained a stay order, the meeting was told.

Chief Minister also paid a visit to the Central Business District (CBD) project and reviewed  progress on it

The Lahore commissioner and the CBD CEO briefed the CM  about the progress of the project.

He issued directives to maintain merit and ensure the quality of work.
