An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore on Tuesday indicted PTI stalwarts Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Ejaz Chaudhry and Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed in the case of torching Lahore’s Shadman police station on May 9, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

ATC judge Muhammad Naveed Iqbal heard the case.

On the occasion, copies of challan were distributed among the accused in which the prosecution has levelled allegations of serious offences such as treason.

The court also ordered that trials of the accused should be held in jail.

Thousands of people lost their temper and took to the streets to vent their anger after the arrest of former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan on May 9.

They ransacked government buildings, military installations and damaged memorials of the Pakistan Army martyrs and in some instances even set them on fire.
