The lawyer for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan is the first person whom he has met in the Attock Jail since his arrest, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

None of Imran Khan’s family has so far been able to contact him by phone.

The jail authorities said that the former prime minister had not yet given the numbers of five people from his family.

They added that the numbers would be checked once they were provided, and he would be allowed to talk to his family members four times a week for 20 minutes.

“So far, the meal is being provided to him as per the jail menu. No specific meal has been demanded by the former prime minister,” they stated.

“His medical tests conducted on a daily basis are normal. A ‘B class’ prison and corresponding privileges were provided to him with his transfer to the jail on Saturday,” they claimed.

It is to be decided by the government whether the former prime minister will wear the clothes of convicted prisoners or not. Until now, he has been using simple clothes.

Meanwhile, the PTI chairman and former prime minister was provided essential items of daily use in jail.

Three pairs of shalwar kameez, two trousers and a tasbih were among the items provided to the PTI chairman.

A hairbrush, mospel, scissors, toothpaste, shaving cream, razor, aftershave lotion and a nail cutter were also among the items provided to him.
