The butchers are all set to slaughter the pockets of people besides the sacrificial animals on Eidul Azha, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
It is learnt that the butchers in Lahore city have set very high rates for slaughtering sacrificial animals on Eidul Azha.
According to the rates set by the butchers, a goat will be slaughtered for Rs7,000, a calf for Rs25,000, and a camel for Rs40,000.
Moreover, butchers in several parts of the city have stopped their bookings for slaughtering the sacrificial animals. They have also advised the citizens to avoid using the services of untrained butchers for low rates.
“Citizens get the hides and meat of their animals damaged by paying less money to the untrained butchers,” said the butchers while talking to 24NewsHD TV channel.
On the other hand, the citizens said that they had to get their sacrificial animals slaughtered by untrained butchers due to shortage of trained butchers on the first day of Eid.
“Now, the butchers are giving us time on the second and third day of Eid. They are demanding Rs25,000 for slaughtering a calf which is too much,” they added.
