The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman has approached the Lahore High Court once again to avoid possible arrest, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

The PTI chief filed the petition in the court of Justice Muhammad Amjad Rafique through his lawyers Sardar Latif Khosa and Intizar.

The Punjab government and the provincial police chief have been made parties in the petition.

The petitioner made a request for consolidating all the cases filed across Punjab and seeking a stay order on the arrest till final decision.

The court overruled the objection to the non-maintainability and directed the lawyers of the parties to present arguments.

Additional Advocate General Ghulam Sarwar Nahang appeared on behalf of the Punjab Government -

Imran Khan was arrested from Islam High Court and the arrest was declared illegal by the Supreme Court, the court was told.  Sardar Latif Khosa said the PTI was being crashed by concocted a plot.

He added more than 185 FIRs have been registered in 109 police stations against the PTI chairman and it is impossible for the petitioner to appear in so many FIRs and inquiries simultaneously.

If someone screams, a case is registered against the petitioner, he told the court, adding his client is being targeted and being treated discriminately.

We all have fundamental rights that must be protected, Khosa stressed, adding that justice be done indiscriminately.

He also cracked a joke in the court and the government lawyer responded with a phrase.

However, the court issued directives to go for legal arguments during the proceedings.

The government lawyer told the court that a five-member full bench has dismissed the plea earlier and the Jusitce Tariq was too part of the bench.

The government lawyer said the petitioner made so many lies that people start deeming their lies as truths.

The court reserved the verdict after hearing the arguments of the lawyers of the parties.
