A young man named Muhammad Tayyab Jawad has bicycled all the way from Gujranwala to Mecca and Madinah on a mission to perform Umrah.

Talking to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Tayyab Jawad said that he started his journey on January 9 and arrived in March after crossing two countries in 74 days.

Every year, Muslims across the globe embark on a long and cumbersome journey to perform Hajj to fulfill one of the fundamental tenets of Islam, but some aspirants go the extra mile and astonish the rest with their passion and enthusiasm for the sacred obligation.

Among such aspirants is Jawad of Gujranwala who decided to use his bicycle for the trip and become an inspiration for those who haven't been able to perform the pilgrimage despite having the necessary financial means.

Tayyab Jawad said that the trip to Madinah started on January 9, 2023, from Gujranwala. Entered Iran en route to Lahore, Okara, Multan, DG Khan, Loralai, Quetta, and Taftan.

From Zahedan, Bam, Jiroft, and Bandar Abbas in Iran, he reached Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates after a voyage of 210 km by ship. He said that he entered Saudi Arabia from Sharjah via Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Traveling through Al-Kharaj and Riyadh, he reached Makkah, where he attained the blessing of Umrah.

Later he reached Medina via Jeddah.

In the exclusive talk, Tayyab Jawad said that he stayed in some cities including Bandar Abbas, Sharjah, Dubai, Riyadh, Makkah, and Jeddah.

“I spent Ramadan in Madinah, and after that, I left for Jordan via Tabuk. But due to some reasons he could not get a visa and came to Karachi by plane from Riyadh,” he added.

Where he then reached Gujranwala by bicycle from where he started his journey, he concluded.
