Controversial Pakistani actor Yasir Hussain clarified his statement about legalizing adult content in Pakistan that he had offered earlier in a live interview and it sparked a controversy on the Internet.
Yasir Hussain appeared as a guest at Faysal Quraishi’s podcast ‘Pressure Buhat Hey’ where he talked about his stance on normalizing the making of adult entertainment content in Pakistan.
The actor said that people misinterpreted his stance. What he was saying is that “Vulgar dances are happening in the theatre unchecked and banning is not working. So, the government should legalize these theatres and start taking heavy taxes on them. This way the practice will be discouraged and revenue will be generated.”
Further, the actor advised that PEMRA should be strict on television.
He added, “The unnecessary Shiza-Fiza type dramas and intimate scenes playing on television should be stopped as they are unnecessary and children can easily access television.”
It is important to mention that, previously, Yasir found himself in debates on the internet regarding his statement and the actor also posted a story to explicate his stance.
His Instagram story stated, “Khuda ka khof karen yeh mai ne kab kaha. I said porn dekhny mai Pakistan number one pe hai Lahore or stage par dance ko ban kia hua hai. Stage par dance ko bhi legalize karen yeh kaha tha jisy dekhna hai dekhy.”
