Barrister Ali Tahir, a citizen, on Tuesday filed a complaint against Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice (CJ) Justice Aamer Farooq in the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In his complaint, copies of which were sent to all members of the council, the barrister levelled allegations of misconduct, misuse of power and partiality against the judge.
Demanding removal of the CJ following an inquiry, the complainant claimed that he was working against PTI Chairman Imran Khan and his party. “Justice Farooq is hand in glove with those who call the shots in the country,” the complainant alleged.
Barrister Tahir further said that the IHC CJ had given several decisions against the PTI chairman, including the one in the Toshakhana case which he had sent back to Judge Humayun Dilawar.
